That happened to me once. I was friends with a guy for about 2 years and had no clue, we talked about girls, went drinking together and hung out in bars, camped out with friends, etc. Then one day he said you know I'm gay right? I was fucking floored because I got no hints, no gaydar went off, nothing I thought he was straight. We talked and have been friends for the last 30 years.
