Is "platinum gay" really a thing?!

genuine question - is this just an urban dictionary type thing, or within the gay community are there classifications (if that's the right term?) such as "gold star gay" and "platinum gay"?

Yeah, gold star gays are a thing. I've never personally met anyone that had a superiority complex about it though.

I've heard about the gold star, but never the platinum gay. Bck at EP I was discussing with this very young lesbian who meant no one who had been with a man ever could call herself gay, but only bisexual. 🤦

If it is a thing, it's either really recent, or like... super localized (regional).
