PSA: “$2500 Medicare/Social Security Spending Card”
Seniors who have received skeen-teen ads swearing “This is not a scam” (it is), and that if you have a certain income, “the government is cheating you” (the government without question IS cheating us, but not this way).
I inquired some months ago…no, these are scammers who only want access. There’s no $2500 card.
Before I posted this, I called again, to be sure.
The fast-talking “representative” started asking for my name. I said I was not disclosing personal information until I knew they were legitimate.
She started yapping again, and I said, several times, “Is there a “spending card?”…yap yap yap…is there a “spending card?” …she finally stopped yapping and I said, “Is there an actual $2500 spending card I will receive in the mail?” (She must be new and was silent.) I asked one more time and she said, “No. We just make sure people know their potential benefits.”
So there you have it. They actually state in the ad that there IS such a card and you will receive it in 2-3 days (which is ridiculous on its face).
I said, “So, you’re just liars.” Silence.
I hung up.
