Why are older people generally more prone to being scammed?

Privilege. The world they were born in didn't try to screw them since their very first breath

Last week someone tried to scam me over a couch I had for sale on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace. The only way they could pay me was through Zelle or paypal or two sites I'd never heard of. They wanted my bank information. It was interesting. When I offered to give them the couch for free they lost interest.

Being one who is of that generation I ask myself that very same question. I just don`t get it.

Hmm not sure, maybe because they (we) grew up in a far more "real" and genuine world? And they / we expect that?

But I'm certainly not. It's the opposite for me. "Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see."

I think technology can be confusing to many. Things seem too real virtually.
