Things that are OFTEN scams, but no one will admit it to themselves, and that will make me SEEM bitter by mentioning, simply bc of our brainwashed
programming...feel free to add to my list, for friday funsies (my idea of fun is pretty fuqqed..i have had another crappy day thanks to my jobby Voldemorts, and I'm sure no one will even read this diatribe lol..maybe I can help someone feel heard/seen within their quiet desperation with this list, tho):
- marriage as a trad wife, ESPECIALLY if a dowry is paid and the woman is enslaved, passed off to a new male by her father//gender roles//linear thinking: college>marriage>kids>retirement>death>rinse/lather/repeat while terming it a "blessing"..when I get more snuggles from my cat....
- the PURCHASE of a college degree, starting at the age of 18, when you don't know that a) something like only 7% of all careers have a non-negotiable college degree requirement, b) all the jobs there are to choose from utilizing one's existing strengths, c) you may not have the maturity to even face the workload/not over-party in college, d) you may be educationally FATIGUED from going to school since the age of 4 or 5, e) the average person changes entire CAREERS 6x a lifetime, f) you can just BUY THE HOUSE FIRST, g) you can transfer credits from a community college to a university to save boatloads of money/get a trade certificate instead
- salaried positions: sometimes they average less than minimim wage per hour, in certain weeks, bc they legit aren't being paid overtime..and have given their bosses carte blanche to assign them an inordinate amount of tasks
- money itself
- 40 hour work week, and the idea that people who bow out of the rat race are lazy, and therefore: immoral
- the idea that corporate welfare is not MORE harmful than lower class serf welfare
- children: totally, totally not for everyone..let's not get me started. Just look up "girl with the list" on tiktok, and see my comment about my cat above lol
- tithing to a church LOCATION instead of, at least in my particular religion: the BODY/BRIDE of Christ/the needy..directly. Why should I pay into the 6 million dollar annex of a church building, so that I can..go to bible studies..with rich people..to commiserate about how they should..give directly to the poor instead? ESPECIALLY when that church is not subject to taxation...
- credit as an institution: paying off debt is penalized, in a way
- not overthrowing our elite captors..bc we are too busy..working....
- marriage again, but this time, as a romantic proposition: be real. you did it for status, a tax break, the idea that you have closure and that this person will stay with you longer if you bind them to you, you needed a house. I'm not saying you don't LOVE them. But I AM saying..how much more romantic is it, in a way, to be with someone who sticks around but doesn't HAVE to? To not feel like your mind is tethered to one track, one reputation forever, instead of falling in love week after week? I am almost resentful towards it. People are non-options, taken off of the dating scene..bc of..what? a prescribed path? I would never be a mistress of course..but it does suck if someone gets married, and there are people still in love with them..who are not their spouse. It doesn't feel like something that EXPANDS love..it seems to DIVIDE love possibilities. Idk..I am speaking as someone entirely on the outside. I don't mean to shit on all marriages..some are AMAZING..but some..are gossip fests/that one husband who you know will side with you no matter what, so he allows you to remain weak/a built in army to substantiate your untenable positions in a debate. Some people choose their spouses BECAUSE they WANT to be held back. They WANT to remain stagnant. They WANT to be told they are never in the wrong. But nowww the rest of society, those who did NOT choose to marry or have a biological army of kids, gets to deal with the fact that you have built-in support for your dysfunction.
Go. Fucking. Rogue.
