Canadian Judge orders Social Media Re Education for Jordan Peterson

"As Townhall reported last week, free speech suffered a major blow in Canada when a court ruled against noted psychologist and best-selling author Jordan Peterson, upholding an order from the College of Psychologists of Ontario that he undergo social media reeducation. The disciplinary action from the regulatory body came in response to Peterson’s controversial public comments, including on transgenderism and political figures."

Social Media RE EDUCATION????????? Sounds like brainwashing and concentration camp all in one! Will the subject be held down while he is injected with thorazine??????????

Peterson's main "crime" appears to be that he criticized Justin Trudeau.

Does Canada have a law that doesn't consider "Social Media," to be an avenue covered under Canada's "Free Speech Law?"

@calicuz Good point! Regarding the Canadian Charter, "It clearly says “Congress shall make no law… abridging the freedom of speech”. But look in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and you will never find the word “speech”. Instead under Section 2 (b) the Canadian Charter you will see that everyone has “freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression…”

But...apparently not! Trudeau definitely didn't respect the beliefs and expressions of those truck drivers a while back...😉

@4meAndyou

So to me, it sounds as though Canada doesn't put Social Media on the level of "The Press," but more along the lines as though one was speaking out loud, which if the wrong words are chosen, could be considered "slander." But that's just a thought off the top of my head. 🤷‍♂️

@calicuz In addition to the source I provided, I also listened to a live interview with Jordan Peterson, and he says he criticized Justin Trudeau, (which is now not allowed), and objected to some aspects of transgenderism.

@4meAndyou

Yup, politics are a very hot topic right now. ☹️

@calicuz If that sort of thing spreads, then we should build a wall on our NORTHERN border.
