As a nation founded on Judeo Christian values, why does Catholicism have the majority of seats on the Supreme Court? We were not founded on Catholicism, we are Christians and Jews.

1. That "founded on Judeo Christian values" is more a slogan of right wingers than anything historical.
2. Which Judeo-Christian values? Bicameral legislation? An independent judiciary? Protection of individual liberty? Burning witches? Passover? Shabbat?
3. How does one explain the prevalence of Deism amongst the Founders?
4. How does one explain anti-semitism of the same right wing?
5. Catholics are Christians, but faced discrimination by the Protestant majority until the latter half of the 20th century.
6. The United States was also not "founded on" slavery for that matter. Now I've pissed off both sides. 😀
