Jury duty In CA…

For about ten years I received a jury summons each year, and the process was the following: I called on the day indicated after 5:00 pm, entered my juror number and the recording told me whether or not to appear the following morning. If I wasn’t needed, I had to call at 11:00 am the next day to see if I was needed that afternoon. If not, I was excused and had satisfied my commitment. I wasn’t called since 2019, but now I received a summons and I’m committed to check in every day for a week ! What tf happened ? Is this how it’s done in other states ?

I have only been called once in my entire life, and didn’t have to actually serve on one. Wow if you keep getting called sooner or later your luck will run out.
I wish you well.
@monte3 In my state, if I make it to 70 I can claim exempt status from then on.
