I Hate Seeing Shootings Happen At Schools

Donald Trump broke off from an event at the White House and called it “ a very sad day”. He condemned “an absolutely horrific attack” and said his administration was “determined to do everything in our power” to prevent such incidents.

My question: Do you suppose he has no power? What’s he done since the Florida school shootings?

This is all freakin bullshit.

Even if Trump tried and cared, which I doubt he does, because fear is so much a part of his political lifeline he couldn't stop this, anymore than a decent human being in the White be House could.

But, in an ironic way, he's made a good point. Guns, vel non, are not really the problem. We need to deal with why people feel the need for guns, why they fear, hate and distrust their neighbors and how this impacts them as parents and their children.

The gun problem really is a microcosm. This could have been a bomb or poison gas, and the the 2nd Amendment does kind of makes guns harder more prevalent, but it's the sociological problems that breed Timothy McVeighs, David Duke's, Osama Bin Ladins, and Donald Trumps that we need to to figure out for a solution.

Until then, we need to lock up our kids as best we can, deal with shooting the bad guys, and just wait until we can slow down the rate we breed them.

@MistyCee I agree. Can't really eliminate guns completely but keeping the school children safe from being shot should be something that can be accomplished (I think). We have brilliant minds in this country and I'm sure someone can find a way.
