I Hate Seeing Shootings Happen At Schools

Donald Trump broke off from an event at the White House and called it “ a very sad day”. He condemned “an absolutely horrific attack” and said his administration was “determined to do everything in our power” to prevent such incidents.

My question: Do you suppose he has no power? What’s he done since the Florida school shootings?

This is all freakin bullshit.

@river52 Maybe it's time for a little Fire and Fury on the part of the President. Maybe it's time he stopped sucking up to the NRA.

It's not him........It's not the NRA..........it's stupid people......and we can't stop stupid people every time. There have always been law breakers and while we can and have written new laws to protect the masses, there will always be those that for what ever reasons will choose the sick and crazy path.

@river52 There have been new gun laws enacted in Florida since the Parkland shootings (quick action) and enforcement of it too and that's super. There needs to be universal background checks across all states. Enforcement of current laws is important too.

I am positive more can and should be done.

To sit back and say we can't do anything because the crazies are gonna do crazy stuff is so lame. I'm sorry but it's how I feel.

@SimplyTracie didn't say we can't do anything......there is more to be done, enforcement and background checks too.

@river52 Maybe not the NRA, but what does it say about the mindset of a country that has such an organization?
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@river52 Absolutely. Enforcement and universal background checks. While they’re looking into that, can we focus on kids safety?

I’d be interested in knowing what school administrators have done to increase security at their schools. I hope they don’t have the “it won’t happen to us” mentally. That would be foolish.
