Creepsters are wandering the hallways of our apartment building around 2 a.m.

One of my neighbors on the same floor where I live, heard a noise at 2 a.m., got out of bed, and saw the handle of her front door being jiggled and tried. She is going to buy a Ring doorstop, (which I've never heard of before), and has reported the incident to the management office.

None of the people I've spoken to about has any confidence that the office will do any thing to follow up, or even view the security tapes.

I'd suggest getting some type of security bar that you can place on your door to prevent someone from bypassing your door lock.

@OverTheHill These simple devices work very well to secure a door.

@OverTheHill Good idea. I might look into that.

@OverTheHill the ONLY downside to those bars is, if you're alone at home and have to call for an ambulance and you are incapacitated on a second floor apt.

@twiigss I did think of that. You could fall in the bathroom, for example.

@OverTheHill I have two of those door-sticks and use them.

@twiigss They can call for a ladder fire truck and get into a window if need be.

@cherokeepatti that's true
