Creepsters are wandering the hallways of our apartment building around 2 a.m.

@JohnnyNoir Yes. However, management never seems to look at the security tapes.

@4meAndyou well, I hope it doesn't take an assault or worse to change that.

@JohnnyNoir I suppose if one of our residents actually called the police, instead of just notifying management, then the police would FORCE management to trot out the security tapes.

@4meAndyou that's an even better idea. Is there an issue with prowlers there?

@JohnnyNoir There have been thefts in the past. We've received letters from management not to leave our apartment doors unlocked, not even to walk down to the trash chutes. People have had money stolen from their purse in an unlocked apartment. Decoration items, including Christmas trees, have been stolen from our lobby areas all over the building, and recently three male vets have moved in, all with a history of drug abuse, and one who is actively taking methadone. But it could be anyone at all.

@4meAndyou it doesn't sound very safe or secure there

@JohnnyNoir I guess it isn't. I think I told Nimbus once that if gangs broke into our apartment building and murdered all of us, we could be "safely" assured that all the perps could be indentified...once we were all dead...🤣🤣🤣

@4meAndyou that's not terribly reassuring. Any thoughts on moving?

@JohnnyNoir Nope. Rents are horrible around here, and this was the cheapest I could find. The ex and I used to pay $1600 per month for our mortgage for a HOUSE...and my son pays $2300 a month for HIS house which is quite large...and yet rents in Plymouth now START at $2300 a month for a one bedroom apartment.

@4meAndyou my apartment rent was going to skyrocket 2 and a half years ago and I was able to buy and pay less. Rents are rediculous everywhere. I moved from the Triangle area in NC because it was too expensive. They're building these high rise upscale buildings everywhere and you'd think, older complexes would try and compete by offering better deals but they're chasing the higher rents for the out of state corporate owners. My apartment has a major black mold infestation 3 years ago and it took 2 attempts to fix it. The apartment above me had leaks and they didn't fix any of that.
