Intellectual pedos.

This is my word for people whose profiles aren't heavy with child abuse narratives but every now and then I'll come across one of their comments which will be borderline. I call them intellectual pedos, not as a term of endearment by any means but rather that they are able to hide underneath a blanket of intellectuality while making semi-questionable comments JUST enough to maybe skirt by on some plausible deniability. I mean, you can't exactly say they are pedos for sure but it's kind of enough to step back and wonder. Or the men who travel to other countries where there's no age of consent laws.

The reason I say this is just because I find those people all the time in the youtube comment sections and on here, seems to be a pattern. You can't really harass or arrest anyone for making such borderline comments but does make one wonder.

People are self serving. Intellectual doesn't mean good.

I feel bad for people who are attracted to kids, KNOW it's wrong, and thus DON'T act on it. I don't think It can be cured or helped.

I don't tolerate those who support , excuse or embrace it, however.

Just as a lonely dude doesn't have the excuse to violate anyone.

@SatanBurger Yup. Diathesis Stress Model in psychology.

@GeistInTheMachine Oh didn't know that was specifically called something, I just remember hearing it somewhere.

@SatanBurger Yeah, learned in a class.

I understand what you mean but at the same time I think you've got it a bit backwards. The laws concerning pedophilia were created to protect children, not to dictate what people think about.
SatanBurger · 36-40, FVIP
@MartinTheFirst I don't even know lol, all I know is that it's just weird.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@SatanBurger It's definitely weird, it is new ground, filled with landmines. I wish it was easier to have open discussions about these kind of topics, then we could form a better understanding of it.

@MartinTheFirst Honestly me too, I'm down for open discussion of things.

I'd say it's worth questioning the person or persons who post such comments to see what they actually meant.

As a lot of people around here know, I've been publicly called a pedo and a child fucker because I defend the LGBT+ community from people who love the false narrative that all gays, trans, and so forth are child rapists.

That's obviously false.

But what most folks around here don't know is that I'm not necessarily on board with the "ARRRHH!!! KILL ALL PEDOPHILES!" rants that people go on around here.

Because like with many mental illnesses, pedophilia can be treated and controlled with therapy (and maybe medicine). And shaming these people by talking about how they all need to die means that people who maybe have those tendencies, but want to get rid of them, are afraid to come forward, because they are fully convinced that a lynch mob will come to their house and kill them.

And so I would ask the people who like to post the "kill all pedos" rants: Do you really want to shame these people? Do you honestly and truly want to make it impossible for them to be open and honest with a therapist about their mental problems? Because I'll tell you what happens when people try to repress shit like that without having the proper tools to change their way of thinking. They end up stuffing, and it always comes out in the end.

@LordShadowfire I've been called that too when I stick up for drag queens but the comments I see are so borderline it's without a doubt but it's enough for plausible deniability.
