There were 632 mass shootings in the USA 2023, There was 1 in UK.

1. A wait period and background check before every gun purchase.
2. Guns sold at police stations only.
3. Age 21, like the drinking age.
4. A physical exam
5. Abolish assault weapons.

LA is the same size as Sweden around 10 million people! Scandinavian police haven't had any guns for 500 years until recently when more guns have come into the country.

There were [b]8 death a year in Sweden until recently w[/b]hen guns have come into the country, and[b] 10 A DAY in LA [/b]and even more lately probably. There is a direct correlation with number of guns in a country and number of deaths per year!,

Law enforcement are peace officers and need to develop trust in the community, not be scary and shoot people. Just recently have they had guns in Sweden. Of course at times force needs to be used and sometimes a gun is necessary in an arrest.

I do think the police needs to have more power to arrest homeless, and laws to enforce treatments and social workers to help them if they are mentally ill or on drugs.
