Thoughts and prayers, of course. Because, that, instead of figuring out why we have a "gun" problem, is the solution.

@windinhishair you made some great points. I still have the same views though. Especially with the climate nowadays. The US has so many adversaries that have become brazen and had sent terrorists into our country as we let illegals flood in. Biden is now getting it. He is finally putting a little more effort as far as the border goes.
Look at what happened to Israel. They weren’t expecting a terrorist attack.

@specman I guess we should just throw our hands up and admit that there is absolutely nothing we can do and that everyone should expect to be part of a mass shooting at least one random time in life.

The approach of fighting guns with more guns is FAILING!!!
Australia had a VERY effective gun buyback plus strict controls after a mass shooting, and gun deaths went down dramatically. Australia is a lesson gun nuts desperately want to ignore.

@ElwoodBlues And yet, gun nuts look at your data and conclude it cannot be the guns.

If that. Saying the words is one thing.

What do you suggest to remedy this then?

@PoetryNEmotion Let's start with re-instating the 1994 assault weapons ban and also ban magazines larger than ten rounds.
This is what the Dayton shooter used to kill 9 and wound another 17 in 32 sec. Does anyone really think they can make a case for this killing machine to be in private hands?
Yeah, that's a 100 round drum magazine. There's no excuse for magazines over 10 rounds.

@ElwoodBlues Won't work. No one is going to legislate that successfully. The people who make guns and who sell them are pretty damn powerful. And the people who buy guns and carry them are large in number too. Many states-I am Canadian and I have lived in the states too-have the gun mentality and attitude. They want their guns. No debate. That is how these people feel. Got anything else?
