At what point do mass shootings cease to be news?

I observed a guy walk into work, glance at the tv news showing the aftermath of the Virginia shooting, mumbled " another one, huh", made himself a cup of coffee and went back to work without a second glance at the tv.
People shot dead at a Walmart?
That's just Wednesday in America.

Unfortunately, it's just another day in America. It did not make a big splash, because kids were not targeted, or was not a specific hate or political crime. It's just a vanilla work place mass killing. Nothing to see here. 😪

@SW-User Sadly, US news organizations have a reporting specialty, you know, like "Senior White House" correspondent, "Senior Middle East" correspondent, etc. they now now "Mass shootings" correspondents. 😪
