Mass shootings by young males

What is it about 18-20 year old males that makes them want to take semi automatic rifles, go to a public place and shoot as many people as they can before they either shoot them selves or make a fast get away - like a true coward.
What makes them do such a thing?
There are still mass shootings waiting to happen at your local shopping mall or movie theatre in the coming days.

It may be nearly impossible to know for sure why young males do these mass shootings. The important thing is to deprive them of the means, by enacting a Federal Assault Weapons Ban, this time with no expiration date.
NO CIVILIAN HAS ANY NEED FOR WEAPONS OF WAR.

We also need much stricter control of handguns. A gun owners license should be required to buy handguns and ammo, with photo and fingerprints, and a mandatory gun safety training class.

@badminton and for you to post on the internet

@MasterLee We have freedom of speech in this country. I can have any opinion I want. As do you. It's useful to remember there are different opinions than one's own.

@badminton Yes and the right to bear arms is an individual right and not subject to your rules.

@MasterLee MY rules?! what does that mean?

Actually, there are rules (not mine). Children can't buy guns or ammo. Civilians can't have .50 cal machine guns, or Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, or rocket-propelled grenades, etc. And no sane person thinks those military weapons should be available to civilians. So there is a precedent for laws regulating what types of weapons are available to civilians.

@badminton shall not be infringed is very clear.

@MasterLee 2A also states "A well-regulated militia." Clearly there is room for much interpretation.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@badminton the first 10 amendments are individual rights.

@MasterLee Subject to interpretation. For example, the Supreme Court has ruled that freedom of speech does not include death threats against a person, obscenity, lying under oath and other exceptions.

In every state, children are not included in the "Right to Bear Arms." And a person can't legally shoot off guns in public streets or in buildings. So, the precedent is already there for regulation.

Thousands of people are killed and wounded in the U.S. every year, every month, with gun murders, accidents, suicides. Sane people want to take action.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@badminton yes get rid of gun free zones. A sane action.

@MasterLee I would like to see a requirement that in order to buy guns or ammo, a person must complete a gun safety training class, maybe 40 hours. An untrained person with a gun is a huge danger to others and themselves. Remember: The life saved may be your own.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@badminton everyone I know has more than that. Everyone with a ccw has training and recurring training.
@MasterLee Agreed
