Republicans always say we should focus on "mental illness" after a mass shooting

But republicans never do or propose any solutions for mental illness. In fact, they seem to block anything that is proposed. So if they don't want to do anything about the guns, and they won't do anything about the mental illness, does that say they are OK with elementary school kids being killed?

I beg to differ! Republicans suggest a cure for mental illness all the time, it's called, VOTE OUT DEMOCRATS!
@fanuc2013 Okay, sure. Because it's the Democrats who want to destroy the environment, take away women's bodily autonomy, and prevent racial minorities from voting.

@LordShadowfire Not to mention, support an authoritarian narcissist while also pretending that they are against "big governement" and need guns to protect themselves from authoritarianism.

@LordShadowfire if you're legally able to vote, you should be allowed to vote. if you have no legal standing, you should be prevented from voting. the question is how to differentiate between the two. dims want no to expend no effort to determine voting eligibility. just show up and vote.

edited to add: actually, dims don't think you should have to show up.
@boudinMan I've got an idea. Since you people are all about voter IDs, why not issue them free of charge to legally eligible voters?
boudinMan · 61-69, M
@LordShadowfire state voter ID cards are free where i live... what's wrong with your state?
@boudinMan We don't have the Gazpacho turning away people who are too deeply tanned to have rights.
boudinMan · 61-69, M
@LordShadowfire neither does my state... all they need is an ID card, provided for free if they don't have one.

and what the hell does gazpacho have to do with anything?
@boudinMan It's a MTG reference. She meant to say gestapo and she apparently couldn't spell it.

@LordShadowfire or perhaps her phone auto corrected it. nevertheless, no one in georgia, the state i reside in, is denied the right to vote based on their skin color. that's a pipe dream you dims have.
@boudinMan Haha, ok boomer.

@LordShadowfire is that your way of admitting defeat?
