An 18 year old with a gun. Same ole story same ole song. When is this crap gonna end ?

What do you want to do?

1. Ban Military Assault Weapons. Problem here is that Military Assault Weapons have been illegal to own since the 1930s after Legislation was enacted into Law after the Gangsters used them quite frequently on each other and the Police during the 1920's. Unless you have a Federal Firearms License or also known as an FFL. There are different types of FFLs.
Type 1 FFL: Dealer of Firearms / Gunsmithing (firearms repair)
Type 2 FFL: Pawnbroker
Type 3 FFL: Collector of Curios and Relics
Type 6 FFL: Manufacturer of Ammunition for Firearms
Type 7 FFL: Manufacturer of Firearms and Ammunition
Type 8 FFL: Importer of Firearms/Ammunition
Type 9 FFL: Dealer of Destructive Devices
Type 10 FFL: Manufacturer of Destructive Devices, Ammunition for Destructive Devices, or Armor Piercing Ammunition
Type 11 FFL: Importer of Destructive Devices, Ammunition for Destructive Devices, or Armor Piercing Ammunition

2. Universal Background Checks. We already have them. They were enacted into Law back in the 1990s during Clinton's Presidency along with an 'Assault' Weapon ban of 15 years. It's an FBI Background Check which anyone who wants to buy any gun from a Dealer who then files it with the FBI and it takes 3 days to clear. Now there is nothing in the wording that says that Individual Courts or Mental Health Institutions are required by Law to report anything to the FBI like Domestic Abuse or Mental Health Treatment. If required, when does it get reported. When it's first filed or after a judgement has been made. They can also be used for nefarious reasons.

3. Ban Military Style Assault Weapons. Do we just ban the ones that look like the ones the Military uses today or do we ban all military look-a-likes? Now if it's ALL Military look-a-likes, then understand this One Important Fact: every gun made from when the Chinese invented them during the 900s AD has been used as a Military Firearm. This is where the Gun Ban Crowd runs afoul of the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution.

4. Red Flag Laws. What are they and who do they apply to? Every single person alive today within the borders of USA fall under these types of Laws. Can they be used for nefarious reasons? YES THEY CAN. Because anyone who has had an argument or disagreement with anyone else can have their firearms confiscated and permanently kept from ever buying / owning one again. This also applies to people who dislike others in their midst in which all they have to say is I 'feel' threatened and whatever LEO can swoop in without a warrant and seize the firearms of anyone permanently. People can also make up things and anyone will lose their firearms.

5. Total Elimination of the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution. This must first be authored, debated on, and passed by a 2/3s majority in the US House of Representatives, it then goes to the US Senate where it must be debated on and passed by 2/3s of the majority, then it goes to the President of the USA who decides to sign it or veto it, and then if signed, it goes to each Individual State to be voted on by the Residents of that State, and once it has been voted and passed by a 2/3s Majority of the US Population, the 2nd Amendment can be removed from the US Constitution.

@dakotaviper even if what you say is all true, so, you suggest doing nothing and simply mourn after each carnage?

@dakotaviper it's actually 3/4's of the states needed to creatr or end an amendment

@samueltyler2 it is all true. But people like you only see one way and that is a total ban. Which means it'll be easier to any criminal to commit a crime.

@Slade my bad. I thought it was 2/3rds.

@dakotaviper it's deliberately set up to be a huge process to change it. To prevent temporary hysteria or demagoguery to result in permanent change
