@Ingwe The LORD made i clear he hates hands that shed innocent blood..
Proverbs 6:
16 "¶ These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: {17} A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, {18} An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, {19} A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren."

I find that many religious people have an acutely cynical view of the human potential. That somehow humanity has steadily declined and degenerated from some historical point in prehistory. What the point is. I dont know. But I guess everyone was faithful and happy familied and the cream never turned sour.
I have heard this every generation. Each worse than the other. Yet by all historical measures the world becomes a more civilized and safer place. Here and abroad. And there is no evidence that this golden past is nothing but a fantasy.
The irony of this view is that it's equally cynical about the strength of God's grace. Thousands of years and nothing but humanity as a massive degenerate cockfight to show for it. Doesnt say much for the strength of God's grace. For the transformational power of the Good News.
I guess I'm not a cynic. I see more light in the world today than in the past. People are kinder. Better. But I don't share an apocalyptic fantasy that everything burns to the ground so that Jesus comes back.
We do nothing about violence precisely because of our cynicism. This is what people do. So why bother? And because our limited view of grace.

@CopperCicada
It is said to be implicitly in the teaching of creation in Genesis.
Where? I have read the Bible and never seen it..
God created a natural order. Male and female animals come together to procreate and create new animals.
And anything that goes against the will of God is sin.
So going against the natural order of God's creation is sin.
And thus having any non-procreative sex is sin. More than "sin" in that it explicitly mocks god's natural order.
3 points correct conclusion derived from those points is wrong.. If it was so then God would have told Abraham that He was sinning by having sex with his barren wife Sarah.. But God later caused Sarah to concieve in her old age.. If it was sin for Abraham to engage in sexual relations with His barren wife and he stopped doing so then he would never have had his son Issac and thus his grandsom Jacob who became Israel..

@Adstar The answer is that Abraham and Sarah are a different case. They were part of God’s plan of revelation. They don’t apply to regular men and women.
I agree with the interpretation given. That is the most literal meaning. But It is also why I am not a literalist.

@CopperCicada Every day a child and woman are murdered and there is a mass murder in the USA every day and most marriages break up leaving children without Dads and they turn to drugs, video games, sex and porn. We are living in a tech world with increased knowledge but SPIRITUALLY a very wicked world and God will stop this generation from growing up because of its wickedness I believe. God will intervene and burn this world up and make a new one when it is like the days of Sodom, and Noah he says.
CopperCicada · M
By any historical measures, the world is actually a safer place than it has been in the past.
Carazaa · F
@CopperCicada It gets more wicked and sinful every day! People forgot about God, they do what is right in their own eyes and enjoy the pleasures of the flesh when we should crucify the flesh, and love all people and treat people the way we want to be treated.
CopperCicada · M
@Carazaa I would say people have more love and compassion. More faith. We are only distracted by what is negative.
DestroyerOfIdeologies · 22-25, M
@Carazaa crucify the flesh? The flesh and spirit both need to be taken care of. And church is one of the best places for sex. The world needs more sin!
Elevatorpitches · F
People who believe in the "last days" also have a way of excusing themselves from trying their best to make a better world.
Which is the only thing that will save us.

@zonavar68 Turn the other cheek, love your enemies and pray for those who despitefully use you, love Jesus more than life, Risk your life witnessing to people who hate you. Give 10% of all your gross to missions, Stay married to a cheater, forgive 70x 7, look forward to Jesus coming any day. stay a virgin when you want to have sex to make God proud, say no to marriage to someone you love because they are not a christian.

Democrats love mass shootings . They blame law abiding citizens for them do they can implement their agenda . How many kids are killed by the abortionists every day? How many die on the streets of LA , Baltimore, NY due to homelessness ? Guns are not the issue . If it’s the time of Revelation so be it . It would be spectacular to see .
InOtterWords · F
In America, 22 children are shot daily. 5 die daily. 2 are murder.
This is based on stats between 2015 -2019.
How is this an advanced civilisation?

@Adstar It has nothing to do with the Syrian immigration, nope. It has to do with the Swedes forgetting Jesus! Jesus says
"
The country whos God is The Lord, will be blessed"

I've lived in San Diego for many years and one part has more Syrians than Syria and they've had very low crime rate year after year, because we witnessed to them and loved them and many are christians now!
I am praying that the Christian Swedes will love the Syrians in Sweden and I know one woman who came by herself from Syria as an orphan young woman. Some christians took her in and fed her and loved her and now she is witnessing Jesus to the Syrians in Sweden and started a christian Syrian church there, Praise God!

Noah’s ark is a bad example to use regarding morality. Aside from the historical and physical impossibility that there ever was a flood. It shows how unjust, and destructive god was to the human race. Hardly worthy of inspiration.
