@Notanymore Background checks and waiting periods I think are a lot more sensible. I bought a gun without a background check or waiting period, I walked into a gun store with cash money and walked out with a loaded semiautomatic. That shit ain't right. I was fifteen years old, and an illegal immigrant 😂😂

@BlueMetalChick fair. I've never been there, but I've heard there are parts that get pretty shady. Don't they have incredibly strict gun laws?

@Notanymore We do have super strict laws, but all of them are rendered null by federal law. So even though they're written, they're considered unconstitutional by federal government and thus they cannot be enforced.

Organized crime is huge here and they influence most of law enforcement, so it's hella easy to get a gun. Right in my neighborhood, there's a fat Turkish guy who sells guns out of the back of a hot dog stand. He grinds the serial numbers off with a dremel.

@Notanymore I think it's necessary but a lot of the suggestions are stupid. Like banning weapons with a pistol grip. What the fuck does that do?

I like Chicago though, my grandpa lived there after emigrating from Sweden with his aunt and sisters, and then he hopped trains to Seattle with 2 buddies where he worked as a salmon fisherman for 10 years before he returned to Sweden and married my grandma and bought an apartment building with the money from salmon. She refused to move so they stayed in Sweden.

@Slade Well, I can tell you, but it's kind of a boring story that involves a lot of immigration law. Mostly cos my parents were both illegal too.
