I've seen the trailer and I don't get that from watching it. It's just rich people hunting ordinary people. I think that people are trying to hijack it for political reasons on the basis of things that aren't there.
4meAndyou · F
@SW-User The people who are being hunted are wearing Maga hats.

@SW-User That's an interesting response. I haven't seen it, but do you think some people are already reading in their own politics to a fairly generic story?
SW-User
@4meAndyou The trailer doesn't show that
SW-User
@Frank52 Yes, I really do.
SW-User
@4meAndyou Okay, how many minutes into the official trailer do you see MAGA hats?
4meAndyou · F
@SW-User It was only for a second. It's a trailer.
"In the wake of a trio of deadly massacres, the studio is evaluating its strategy for the R-rated Blumhouse satire in which elites stalk "deplorables."
"Did anyone see what our rat****er-in-chief just did?" one character asks early in the screenplay for The Hunt, a Universal Pictures thriller set to open Sept. 27. Another responds: "At least The Hunt's coming up. Nothing better than going out to the Manor and slaughtering a dozen deplorables."
In the aftermath of mass shootings within days of one another that shocked and traumatized the nation, Universal is re-evaluating its strategy for the certain-to-be-controversial satire. The violent, R-rated film from producer Jason Blum's Blumhouse follows a dozen MAGA types who wake up in a clearing and realize they are being stalked for sport by elite liberals.
"Employees in different departments were questioning the wisdom of making such a movie in these times," says one filmmaker with ties to Universal. "In light of the horrific [recent shootings], is this not the most craven, irresponsible, dangerous exploitation?"

@4meAndyou "MAGA types"? That sounds to me like reading what they want into a movie that shows nothing of the kind. There is no MAGA hat in the trailer, not one. If someone can point one out then clearly I'm blind.
4meAndyou · F
@SW-User 👆️ I clearly saw the red ball cap. If you did not, can't help you.
SW-User
@4meAndyou Well can you find the moment that it occurs and link the video with the time?
4meAndyou · F
@SW-User Why should I go to all that work for someone who is being assy toward me? Just go see the movie...you will enjoy watching elites slaughter deplorables.
SW-User
@4meAndyou I'm not being assy, I'm just asking for any kind of confirmation because there is no red hat in the official trailer and no reference to deplorables 🤷♂️
4meAndyou · F
@SW-User Omg. Then what was I watching on television last night? I'm done. Get lost.
SW-User
@4meAndyou No idea 🤷♂️
