Personally, I would not want him anywhere near me or my family under any circumstance. The man is a creep.

@SW-User Me either. He (and recently, his daughter) have been bedeviling my home town (Chicago) since the day he took office. To listen to him, you'd think he was saying we were in Prohibition with machine guns on every corner. He has nothing good to say about my birthplace and home, and I am not the only person here that says so. THEY have also noticed it, too. I hope he NEVER comes here. I have been to D.C., and I was not impressed. He has never been here since he took the President's chair. If you never come, sir, then keep your mouth closed about how CORRUPT you think Chicago is.

I live in the Chicagoland area, too. I’m also fine if he never visits. It’s also fine with me if his red hat cultists stay away, too. @MaryJanine

A fellow citizen! Thanks for your support. It's especially nice to hear from someone who holds my views on the man.

@MaryJanine Most of the folks here seem to despise him
MaryJanine · 70-79, F
@Fernie I hate him with a purple passion especially for his downtrodding my hometown when he's never BEEN HERE. When the Cubs won the World Series, he had just taken office. The black players and Dominican players and anyone else who was not white got their extended hand ignored while he shook the white ones in full view of a camera crew. That hurts! Everything that goes wrong, he drags in Chicago like kitty-roadkill. Guns, mass murders, rioting - you name it, he finds a way to put our city in a bad light. When he was talking about going to Ohio, he said he was going to "Toledo". The city, Sir, was "Dayton", and you didn't even have the common decency to correct yourself!

@MaryJanine I did not know I was capable of hating at this level...he takes us there.

@MaryJanine I never saw that on film, is it available to see?
MaryJanine · 70-79, F
@Fernie Thanks for sharing my view(s). You said it ALL.
MaryJanine · 70-79, F
@nudistsueaz It may be. it was the day or the day after he took office. As the World Series Winners, the team was entitled to come down and meet the just-elected President. They did. They chatted for a few minutes, then extended their hands as a "good-by" gesture. I saw him slide by the blacks and Dominicans and ignore their hands but shake the white players' hands. It was so slick, you could miss it if you weren't watching closely, but I saw it - another way to dishonor Chicago. Check with your local TV station and ask if you can get a clip of the then-new President meeting the World Series' champs.
