So someone is trying to convince me sympathize with school shooters... Why? Just why? Why should I feel bad for people who choose to kill others?

"They were bullied and felt like they had to resort to this. Why don't you feel sorry for them? They are just as much of victims as the people they killed." Um I was bullied severely in school and the thought of murdering people over it never once crossed my mind. A lot of people are bullied but they don't shoot up their school over it because if they did then there would be multiple mass shootings everyday in every single school in America. No one has to resort to killing people. It's a choice they make and I'm not going to feel bad for their horrible decision to murder people just because they may or may not be having a tough time in life. Nope. Not going to do it. Victimizing them takes away from the real victims of the crime committed.

@stained Or abusers.
"Yeah, he might have almost murdered his wife and left her physically and emotionally scarred for life but he's only doing what his dad did to him! Poor baby! He shouldn't get such a harsh sentence"
While I can feel bad for the person going through something like that all sympathy leaves as soon as they harm another person. Self defense is justifiable but there is never a good excuse to hurt people just because you can/you want/it's been done to you before.
