In America we have a free society. A strong constitution guarantees that. Unlike other free western nations big brother does not really watch us. Unfortunately there are evil people who take advantage of this freedom. Our law enforcement is unfortunately reactive most of the time.
The same freedom evil people take advantage of allows law abiding citizens to protect themselves from the evil people. There are statistics which support this.
Even America's greatest allies cannot offer these freedoms. One can be detained for days on mere suspicion. In america you need probable cause and you must be arrested. In america the military cannot become involved in domestic issues.
God bless the SAS. The best of the best. The SAS is the real reason IRA violence stopped. Not the peace marches.
An american unit like that could never operate on American soil. Political correctness has made it impossible to label and control suspected mentally ill people. Political correctness has put thousands of dangerous mentally ill people on the streets. Many are homeless.Political corectness has to be curbed and laws must be enacted to make it easier to find the nut jobs.
Other than that, it is an unfortunate part of our free society and a price we pay.
Oh...Better parenting and taking responcibility for ones actions would probably prevent thousands of gun and non gun homicides in America.

@Harriet03 Why do you attack me? I never said anything bad about anyone's opinion. I was never sarcastic. Or confrotational. Why do you get vicious? Most I would do is agree to disagree. I was only stating facts on why our free society can be dangerous. I dont think you can disagree there are evil people out there intent on hurting, and robbing and raping inocents and they are basically free to roam the streets.

@Harriet03 I did. I suggested political correctness be curbed and laws written to make it easier to track down the nut jobs. This would include criminals, white supremacists and any extremist who might want to buy a gun.
But from my life experience I can tell you, right now at this moment, if I wanted to buy an AK47 on the street from a criminal I could have it before morning.
Illegal guns will exist no matter what laws are passed.

@Harriet03 the nut jogs who walk into a place and start killing people deserve much worse than insults. You ask if I cant do better. What are better than facts. Are you afraid to hear real facts?

Not even disagreeing, just explaining the price we pay for our free society. The 911attacks, the Boston marathon bombings are perfect examples of the high price we pay. Your insult implied, I am mentally deficient. Why would you say that? You still have not answered me as to why you insulted me.
