Scapegoat definition

I used to think that scapegoat is when you shave your goat in a stylish way or when your goat hops the fence an escapes. You know, common sense. Duh..

But no! I have been corrected. Its when blame the stylist for your goat running away when really it was the goats decision after being styled in a negative way.

This girl worked at a store I used to go to all the time & she was telling me how her family always blamed her for everything, making her the scapegoat. Well, she then showed me her tatoo of a goat on rollerskates because she thought it was SKATE goat. I didn't have the heart to tel her....
