Does free speech exist in USA? Can you say what you want?

Yes, in that you are unlikely to go to jail or otherwise lose your freedom over something you say or type.
But it’s not "consequence-free" speech.
If you say something that is very unpopular or considered hateful, you still run the risk of being challenged, losing relationships or even a job, and if you’re saying it in person rather than online, there’s still the possibility of being punched in the nose.
@bijouxbroussard You have explained this so well. I adore you beauty.
@Pinkstarburst Thank you. 🤗

@bijouxbroussard I was about to comment the very same thing, but you did so much more eloquently 😃
@bijouxbroussard but is it legal ?
@Zenbra Which part ? Your speech or the possible reaction of others ? Except for someone striking you, it all is.
@bijouxbroussard the speech alone
@Zenbra It’s legal—you won’t go to prison for that alone.
@bijouxbroussard Seems unfair. Inciting hatred should be deemed a crime, becoming a NAzi and spreading hate, hatred of women , Blacks, minorities,,etc. People should be stopped doing this.

@Zenbra There are some limits but very few. Offensive speech is permitted, as is political speech. But in a famous supreme court case the example was given that it is not legal to yell “Fire!” In a crowded theater and incite a panic when there is nothing actually going on.

@bijouxbroussard That's just the surface. There's so much more going on than what the public people like you and me gets to know about.

You need to really dig if you wanna see the reality, which isn't as cute as the one you make believe we live in.

Corruption. For example how do you explain that they silence scientists who had proofs why the covid vaccine was dangerous? They all was fired. Silenced. Exiled. You think the people who've worked as scientists all their lives had a reason to lie, and thought that lie was worthy their lives?

Every good person who wanted to change this world for the better has been "mysteriously" killed and they have never found the murderer. Coincidence?

Either people are happily oblivious to what is really happening, or people know they are FUCKED the second they say or do something that doesn't benefit the ones who will do everything maintain this current system.

Did you know that people who've discussed what they've discovered about this online has been getting their entire accounts banned?

Believe me. You have no idea what you're up against.
@Queendragonfly With respect, I possibly have a better idea than you. Virtually anyone who’s been involved in civil disobedience or public protest (regarding perceived leftist causes) is likely to have a file with U.S. intelligence organizations. That was revealed decades ago.

It’s only now because right-wingers have become fair game too, that people think it’s something new. 🙁

@bijouxbroussard So why are you saying no one gets to jail for freedom if speech of you know it happens?
@Queendragonfly I said
you are unlikely to go to jail or otherwise lose your freedom over something you say or type.
That is not never, but that it is "unlikely" is true for the majority of people who live here. The OP who (like you) doesn’t live here, wanted to know what was legal.
So I replied.

@bijouxbroussard Unlikely according to your experiences or do you have the stats?
@bijouxbroussard Let them go Bijou. The person is a whackadoodle and just wants to fight.
@Queendragonfly What stats are you looking for specifically ? The percentage of people in the U.S. who have gotten their doors kicked in and were hauled off to jail for something they said ? I have not had that specific experience, and the few I knew who have were of my parents’ generation.

Losing one’s profile on social media isn’t the same experience. Privately owned websites can be run by the owners’ guidelines. People are finding that out, but then social media isn’t something the authors of the U.S. Constitution could ever have imagined.
@Pinkstarburst Yes, I’m beginning to see this. 🙁

@bijouxbroussard So you are that insecure huh? Wish you well.
