GOP seeking budget cuts to assist with defunding the FBI and DOJ

So my question is: what are they hoping to achieve by cutting the FBIs operating budget? It takes time and resources to investigate crimes. With less funding and resources less crimes get investigated.
Same goes for the DOJ.

Why might the GOP want less crimes to be investigated?

@justanothername I am sure both Hillary and Hunter played fast and loose with the rules. But no matter what "advantage" they played, it really isnt worth the time to stop running the actual nation for years over. And young Biden doesnt even work for the government.😷

@justanothername I have the luxury of distance and can see that both sides are deeply flawed (by greed) Its just that Trump, McConnell, McCarthy and the Supreme couirt have really taken the gloves off and made an open play to take the nation away from the people. (Not that there is all that much left.)😷
