Do you believe in it? If that final decision was solely up to you, could you sentence a person to death ?(For the most heinous crime that you can imagine)

1. We know for a fact it does not serve as a deterrent, in fact the opposite is true -- criminals kill to try to get away with killing.
2. Our system allows too many guilty who can afford good attorneys to escape punishment and too many innocent people, for the same reason, to get convicted.
This leaves revenge and that's not a good reason to end someone's life.
