If a convicted murderer/rapist/molester serving a lengthy sentence has expressed a desire to end his life......
should the state or govt honor his wishes and allow him to end his own life ?? What are your thoughts ??

That’s a tough one. I wouldn’t be inclined to give him any "breaks" from the mandated penalty, and arguably, that would be a huge one.
You probably know that in the past one could be criminally prosecuted and imprisoned for attempting suicide.
Even now, someone on Death Row who is caught attempting suicide will be saved, so that the state can lawfully end his life.
