I won't even respond on the post of a religious nutcase

But it made me think, so should punishment for murder be the same if you're murdered by your husband/wife or murdered by a stranger.

Murder is murder right?? Just like rape is rape no matter the circumstances

This is hard for me to write.

I murdered my wife.

Barristers and psychiatrists can discuss my mental state, that it wasn't premeditated etc but I killed her.

I then repeatedly plead not guilty, allowed the prosecution to present the case then instructed my brief to present nothing. Thus I was sentenced to longest term. 15 years no parole until 75% through.

I served 23 years. It's easy to stay in prison once you're there just fuck up every time they talk about parole, governors court etc you're going to stay in.

I've been out 8 years now. And obviously on a lifetime licence, report to probation, report to police etc. I was looking at being homeless when my mum died just that alone would have meant instant return to prison for me.

My punishment will never end for me. I accept what I did I can never forgive myself.

@PepsiColaP There's a four day trial.

Short version I returned home unexpected from a biker rally, very high, very drunk. I caught her with her lover, another biker.

A fight happened. I must have punched her. When I stopped hitting the guy she's not moving on the floor. I remember very little of the vwhile thing I can only go on what the forensics say, that my fist hit her temple.

She died of a massive brain trauma and bleed three days later.

The guy survived with bad injuries. However for some reason I was never charged in relation to his attack.
