It always surprising me how people think 20 years is some lightweight sentence like a year. Most people who say that would have a hard time doing 20 months much less 20 years. Its basically life. She would be 80. Nothing much left after that anyway. I'm not saying she got harsh treatment, it seems appropriate. But I don't think they should smash her head between a viceo or anything like a lot of people act like on here. It's not good to hold that kind of vindictiveness in your heart. It's a sad situation for all involved.
bijouxbroussard · F
@Lasher77 Obviously some people don’t even think she did anything wrong. But she helped ruin some real lives. I don’t see how it’s "vindictive" to think badly of her. It wasn’t a "sad" situation for her until she was held accountable and punished. One thing about the twenty year sentence that probably bothers people is that with appeals and "good behavior" while incarcerated, she’s unlikely to serve the full sentence.

The sad thing is those girls are scarred for life
bijouxbroussard · F
@SW-User That’s right. 🙁
Gusman · 61-69, M
I am wondering why none of the "customers" have been charged.
Surely there is plenty of CCTV footage. Almost everyone who attended these events would be identifiable.
Why only Prince Andrew singled out?

@bijouxbroussard Are any to be charged? Do we know that as yet?
bijouxbroussard · F
@Gusman Not that has been announced.
Gusman · 61-69, M
@bijouxbroussard Maybe one day down the track a list of High Profile People will be released. Those on the list to be charged with various offences.
Maybe these people will spill the beans in an attempt to lessen prison terms.
We have a long wait ahead of us.

A life sentence would have been more appropriate, but considering her age, this might amount to the same thing.
Of course she wasn't "fooled". No one is fool enough to believe that. She was very much a participant in Epstein's criminal activities.

bijouxbroussard · F
@Rutterman Agreed. Considering that she’s 60 now, it may indeed be. She also has the same kind of information on certain folks that Epstein did, so once she officially begins her sentence, all bets are off.
Rutterman · 46-50, M
@LordShadowfire They might have trouble getting to her. I'm guessing that prison officials won't place her in the general prison population. Of course prison guards have been known to leave cell doors unlocked and turn their backs when stuff happens...
bijouxbroussard · F
@Rutterman The belief persists that this was Epstein’s actual fate.
CharleySmile · 26-30, F
I watch a Netflix documentary on this. She know what she did.
bijouxbroussard · F
@CharleySmile I watched that, too. Absolutely she knows.
LegendofPeza · 61-69, M
Will she do the twenty ?
bijouxbroussard · F
@LegendofPeza We’ll see. That was the sentence handed down, but who knows…she has as much info on names and dates as Epstein did, so perhaps not.
LegendofPeza · 61-69, M
@bijouxbroussard She still maintains her innocence though so surely that would preclude any chance of parole. Also I bet she's regretting now not sharing what she knew with prosecutors beforehand.
assemblingaknob · 31-35, F
20 years?
And what's that, house arrest?
And what's that, house arrest?
bijouxbroussard · F
@assemblingaknob The prosecutor wanted 30-55 years. Her attorney wanted five, claiming she had a "difficult childhood” (she was media mogul Robert Maxwell’s daughter, richer than Epstein).
The judge said she will be sent to a federal prison in Danbury, Connecticut.
helenS · 36-40, F
@assemblingaknob She will be 81 when she leaves prison; if she survives.
bijouxbroussard · F
@helenS Indeed. She has the same info Epstein did, so she might "suicide", too.
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
Hopefully the sentencing states no parole, if not she will be out in 10 years. She may not last 5 in there.
bijouxbroussard · F
@BackyardShaman Whether or not parole is a factor, I’m not sure. But she does have the same info Epstein did, so we’ll see.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
Good.
Too bad some of the others will never be prosecuted 😥

LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Justmeraeagain I saw a meme the other day that suggested she's the first person to ever traffic women and children to nobody. Like, yeah. What about her customers?
bijouxbroussard · F
@Justmeraeagain Indeed. The "customers".
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@LordShadowfire Sick world that blinds the eyes to such evil
BridgeOvertroubledWaters · 61-69, M
Got what she deserves
Peapod · 61-69, F
Finally, some good news out there and justice served!
She will find out in prison how far that victim card gets her.

Eventually her perception of reality will hit. It might be her 10th straight meal with turkey in it.
Not long enough.
bijouxbroussard · F
@MsAnnThropy Agreed.

Is that all?

@SW-User Yep.

One word: GOOD
Vaper · 36-40, M
The holding cell death such as Epsteins would of course be too coincidental. But it would not suprise me if she also meets an untimely fate in orer to zip her potentially politically loose lips.
bijouxbroussard · F
@Vaper Indeed.
They should shoot criminals who are into child pornograhy and their supporters. $750,000 bail is nothing for her…even though it’s the maximum that can be imposed. 20 yrs is like a running joke for all of the victims that suffered becoz of her for decades. Not fair…
@bijouxbroussard Time we change some of the laws…I mean someone gets behind bars for just touching Guiliani…and the one who has ruined hundreds of lives gets away with a petty 20 yrs in fed prison.
bijouxbroussard · F
@Vivaci What truly needs to change is how existing laws are applied. Wealth shouldn’t make a difference.
Exactly…the wealthy just hire the best lawyers and they find all the possible loopholes and the criminal gets away with much less than they deserve. Although in this case she got the maximum in both cases, but still they choose a path that lead here. So lawmakers should keep minimum loopholes for the hardened criminals/crimes. @bijouxbroussard

As Madeleine Albright said, “There is a special place in hell for women who don't help other women.”
bijouxbroussard · F
@sciguy18 Yes. 🥺
BabyLonia · F
The angry emoji is the anger felt with Maxwell
bijouxbroussard · F
@BabyLonia I totally understand and agree. She should’ve gotten life, no parole.
TwiddlerofThumbs · F
only 20?? That's disgusting.
bijouxbroussard · F
@TwiddlerofThumbs She should be in for life, really.
TwiddlerofThumbs · F
@bijouxbroussard she’s aided in the ruining of hundreds of lives for the pleasure of paying “customers”. I hope her cell is dark, dank and she’s never left alone.
softspokenman · M
Acquiring and Grooming underage girls is participating in their abuse.
BabyLonia · F
20 years is not enough, especially as she has not talked about who she trafficked those girls to
Bang5luts · M
The only people Epstein fooled was the guards watching over him on suicide watch.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Bang5luts I still maintain those guards did it for him.
Bang5luts · M
@LordShadowfire same
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
That's a pretty common pattern with criminal thinking people. They need the narrative that they are the good guy in order to keep doing what they do.
Peapod · 61-69, F

Bullshit 🙄
She knew what she was doing
She knew what she was doing
bijouxbroussard · F
@SW-User Exactly.

SW-User
Only 20 ffs
bijouxbroussard · F
@SW-User She really should’ve gotten life, no parole.

SW-User
@bijouxbroussard I totally agree, the only thing I can say is she will be at least 80 before she gets out, and that I guess will depend on her behaviour in jail
