@Handfull1 it looks like that's what is being done by this administration. The thing is the the good citizens of this country have no way to protect themselves in areas of the country where there is no police. But then i guess you would do away with police also. Just a thought...

@masterofyou don’t be silly. In reality all I was pointing out was the hypocrisy of guns don’t kill people but guns were not allowed when Trump was speaking. Honestly, you gun people need to get a life! A tiny minority want guns banned. Very tiny! You’re the ones putting that shit in people’s mouths. Most just want some rules like with most everything else in life.

@Handfull1 I'm not a gun person i am stating a fact if my family is under attack it would take 45 minutes for a sheriff despatch or state police to get to my residence after the fact ....

The kid that did that horrible attack was on drugs, no parental influence, apparently not much background checks even with all the background laws in place .

Where ar the parents, why are we legalizing drugs sush as pot in this country. You can take away all the guns and they will still find a way to get them.

Look at the city of Chicago they have the strictest gunlaws in the country and more than 800 homicides from gun shootings.

@masterofyou again almost no one is proposing taking away all your guns. I could say that a million times and most don’t hear it. I get tired of hearing the damn statistics. I studied statistics. They can be skewed any way one chooses. The fact is the mentality needs to change. Guns are not a toy. We have more regulations on toys!! Let’s just not do anything because things don’t always work.

There are no guarantees in life. I choose to not sit back and do nothing because of that. Pretty soon us “liberals” (which is BS as many are independent thinkers on many issues) as we are constantly labeled will need guns…to protect us from all the OBSESSED (not rational) gun owners!

Well that won't help. The mass shootings will continue (if the availability of firearms is the main factor) and you'll then say "well banning your scary ar-15 with the extended assault clipazines didn't do enough. I guess we need your handguns too."

Canada started out with "no one needs a scary black AR-15" and now they're at "you can own a 5 round magazine bolt action rifle, as long as you never use it and it's stored in a way that makes it impossible to use for home defense."

But I suppose you'll say they haven't technically banned them all.

It’s like they have binary reasoning and can’t accept that the rest of the world allows for sensible gun ownership without getting a damn mass shooting every week.
Can’t even have a Fourth of July without one, as if it was a necessary representative of America.
