Shouldn’t cops be physically fit?

I’m not here to body shame anyone, but I’ve seen cops in my town that seem a bit… obese.

It makes me less afraid to commit a crime.

All I’ll have to do it speed walk and they’ll never catch me.

I laugh every time I see this....

Like last night on the news there was the story of the escaped inmate in Texas and the accompanying video showed this cop with a massive beer gut.

My first thought was HOPE HE DOESN'T PLAN ON CHASING THE GUY....

Yes definitely, cops who cannot chase down and or overpower are most likely to panic and shoot suspects.
