And so it begins

A woman was charged in Texas courts for "Murder" for a "self-induced abortion", appears the charges have been dropped now. Also, the woman was clearly identified and named, what ever happened to HIPPA? I'm amazed there hasn't been a mass migration out of Texass by women there...

Liberals destroyed HIPPA

@MrBrownstone Please explain why you think that is?
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@spjennifer Covid passports

@MrBrownstone exactly how is that a hippa violation if an individual is voluntarily offering the information?
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@Jenna76 In that case it’s not.

Vaccine passports don’t violate HIPAA.

Your workplace, or the bar you want to go to, or the restaurant, or sports venue or concert hall inquiring of your vaccination status does not violate HIPAA. None of those places are governed by HIPAA’s Rule of Privacy regulations.

If any of those places were to go to your health care provider for information about your vaccination status without your knowledge and consent, then your health care provider would be in violation if they gave that information to the interested party.

@MrBrownstone Ridiculous, if the person concerned is voluntarily sharing their information, there is no violation, you can always refuse to show it and they can refuse entry...

@AbbySvenz Why did people all the sudden care about you being vaccinated?
AbbySvenz · F
The same reason you need to be vaccinated to attend school @MrBrownstone

@AbbySvenz Only public ones

@AbbySvenz We had co-workers out sick with covid. But if you asked the immediate supervisor, "oh that person is out" was the response. And most co-workers would say that it'd be a hipaa violation for HR or the supervisor to say exactly why that person was out.

But like you said, a hipaa violation would have to do with the health care provider giving out that information, without that person's knowledge or consent.
