Defamed Georgia poll workers move closer to seizing Giuliani's assets

The two former Georgia election workers who won a $148 million defamation verdict against Rudy Giuliani sought a court order Friday directing him to turn over his assets — including cash, jewelry, and his Upper East Side apartment — and appointing them as receivers for his Palm Beach condominium.

They also sued him in federal court, saying he tried to shield the Florida property from creditors by falsely claiming it as his residence so he could give it “homestead” status under that state’s law.

The moves by the two Georgia women, Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, come in the wake of a judge’s dismissal of Giuliani’s bankruptcy case, a decision that allowed the women, two of his biggest creditors, to begin pursuing his assets.

Freeman and Moss won a defamation lawsuit against the former New York City mayor last year for falsely accusing them of committing election fraud in the 2020 election.

A receiver would be able to liquidate Giuliani's assets, including property, several World Series rings worth between $20,000 and $40,000 each, and around 20 wristwatches. This could put him in the position of having to rely on a public defender for his upcoming trials in Arizona and Georgia, increasing his motivation to negotiate a lighter sentence in exchange for testifying against Trump and other co-conspirators.

Nope.

Sorry...I just can't muster any pity for the guy. I LMFAO thinking Rudy is going to have to have his mail forwarded to a homeless shelter.

@missyann If this pushes him to flip on Trump, that would be even better.

In other news, Rudy Giuliani misunderstood, and got excited about the idea of two young ladies from Georgia trying to grab his assets.
