Calm Down People- Especially Those Who Don’t Live Here

People- today’s Supreme Court ruling does not outlaw abortion. It returns the decision to the States. That’s all. There will be plenty of States where abortion will remain legal and some States have already started the process of expanding them. If you want an abortion and live in a State where they’re not available, travel to a State where it is. If you don’t like your State’s positions/laws on abortion, move to one that you agree with.

In the simplest terms look at marijuana. Some States have completely unregulated recreational use/possession, some have medicinal marijuana use/possession, and some have criminal penalties for use/possession. It’s a State by State decision.

It’s the precedent this ruling has set Jesse. Women are in a constant state of having to defend themselves. This is just another slap, telling us we are not in control of our own bodies or health. And this is only the first ruling on a long agenda.

I fear for the freedom, privacy, and safety of my niece as she grows into adulthood.

@Pinkstarburst I’m sorry but I don’t get this argument. Women are in charge of their own bodies and what is put inside them. I can get the female perspective of “my body, my choice”. But what about the male perspective of “my baby my choice”? Both the man and the woman agreed to the sex. And the woman still has the choice if she goes to another state where abortion is legal to have the procedure done. Today’s ruling is simply about state rights.
@JesseInTX I know it’s about state rights and I understand the “it takes two to make a baby”. But sex may not have been a mutual agreement. Also, with the time limit most states have set for abortions, most women won’t even know they are pregnant yet. By the time they know, it’s too late.

This is not a black and white subject that has a firm yes or no answer. There are an incredible number of facets involved. That’s where my frustration and disappointment lie.

@Pinkstarburst I commented this earlier- a woman knows when a man cums inside her and when she has an orgasm. Plan B pill is available at most pharmacies in every state. That settles the pregnancy issue 99.5 % of the time. If it doesn’t then many states will welcome them for an abortion. The biggest misconception with today’s ruling is abortion is now illegal nation wide.
@JesseInTX Most states have been anticipating this ruling to make it illegal in their state. There is also political talk of changes to funding birth control. To many groups, the plan B pill is a form of abortion.

Please know I’m not arguing for arguments sake. We are both passionate about our thoughts.
