Calm Down People- Especially Those Who Don’t Live Here

People- today’s Supreme Court ruling does not outlaw abortion. It returns the decision to the States. That’s all. There will be plenty of States where abortion will remain legal and some States have already started the process of expanding them. If you want an abortion and live in a State where they’re not available, travel to a State where it is. If you don’t like your State’s positions/laws on abortion, move to one that you agree with.

In the simplest terms look at marijuana. Some States have completely unregulated recreational use/possession, some have medicinal marijuana use/possession, and some have criminal penalties for use/possession. It’s a State by State decision.

Okay. But to be fair some states like mine, have made it illegal.
@SweetNSassy exactly. if you have an abortion in my state you can be jailed for 10 years and fined $100,000
@crownedwithlaurel97 i personally wouldn’t get an abortion, but I don’t think it’s right for the state to decide for us.
@SweetNSassy i don’t think men should be making any decisions about what i can do with my body

@SweetNSassy I'm sure with all the extra money planned parenthood is going to have when they have less states to set up in, they may just pay the way of anyone wanting an abortion but live in a state that outlaws it.

@SweetNSassy 3-4 hours drive north of you one will be available.
JesseInTX · 51-55, M
@crownedwithlaurel97 what about the rights of the child or the father?
@JesseInTX what rights of an embryo? the majority of abortion occur when the “child” is about as viable as a petri dish of cancer cells. if the father wants rights he needs to step up and act like a father. here’s the thing—men at my age don’t care. i watched my roommate have a mental breakdown when she called her bf to tell her she was pregnant and he hung up and blocked her number

@crownedwithlaurel97 that’s just not true what you said about the majority of abortions. It why the law in Mississippi was challenged and law in Texas was challenged. “Most women don’t even know they’re pregnant at 15 weeks”. At 15 weeks that’s not an embryo. Yes there are dirtbag men that run away ( that’s a whole other topic). But there are many men who want the baby and are not even consulted before their baby is aborted.

@crownedwithlaurel97 Texas give women 6 weeks to abort and then they outlaw it. Women still complained. Liberals have already proven that "my body my choice" is only valid when they want it to be , and certainly not for covid vaccines.
With all the education and resources available, having unprotected sex and unwanted pregnancies are difficult to understand. You can walk into a pharmacy and ask for a plan B without a prescription, problem solved. In the event of rape, incest, or medical issues abortions are allowed.
Really the only thing that has changed is that the state has the authority to regulate abortion, not the FED.

@SweetNSassy @crownedwithlaurel97 @TexChik
Not to be too gross here, but if a guy cums inside you, you know it. If you orgasmed when he did or after he did there’s a chance the sperm and eggs met. And then there’s a chance it makes a baby. As Tex said the plan B pill is about $45 and taken within 72 hours it solves the pregnancy problem.

@JesseInTX exactly, no prescription required.
@TexChik I just feel bad for women who might have been raped and end up being forced to give birth.
@JesseInTX that doesn’t always work. My friend bought two of those and ended up pregnant
JesseInTX · 51-55, M
@SweetNSassy nothing is 100% effective. I would question when she took them after having unprotected sex with the guy.
TexChik · F
@SweetNSassy I have never seen that happen . I am sure many states say they wont allow it because every knocked up kid is going to claim rape. I would imagine if its proven or confirmed, her state would consent
@JesseInTX the next morning she woke up and called me and I told her straight to the pharmacy and they told her to take it and then we bought an extra one just in case. And she still ended up getting pregnant.
@TexChik their are plenty of cases where a child was raped by even a family member and they ended up pregnant. Imagine the trauma of not only going through that but also having to have the child.
