If they want to seize a domain name and take it offline because it aided copyright infringement they can and ICANN being in the us proper also makes me highly uncomfortable with this idea,
All it takes is hollywood or the recording companies bribing those Seven people high enough and they'd be to shut entire sites down single-handedly.
