I Believe In Age Of Consent Reform

Such a tricky subject, given how different societies view this tricky subject.

Like for example the Age of Consent in Angola is 12 years old, in Japan it's 13, in Austria it's 14, and so on!

My point is I think it's a societal issue that a country must make based on it's own norms and traditions. I don't want to say anyone is right or anyone is wrong, but it is always healthy to debate these things regardless :)

I agree to some extent but don't base it on what you read about the age of consent in differing countries on the internet. The 12 year old limit you mentioned in Japan for example is far from being "the norm" and only applies within a very small and very specific set of circumstances.

@Stacy4U technically here in the US a girl as young as 13 can be married off to a older man if the parents consent or a judge approves it..

@chrisCA well, one might say that Mormonism is a cult designed by a guy who wanted to screw lots of chicks but also seem important...God-sent rather than God-forsaken, if you will.

But that might also apply to Hank 8 breaking away from Rome and founding the Church of England...!

@chrisCA Yeah, but I am not so jaded, though the so-called "religious right" of Christianity has shown that it is really just mostly wrong and conservative and stuck in the "Old" Testament...
