Actually, algae originate from microscopic spores that travel through the air, water, and wildlife.

Also, it turns out that driving a 15,000+ lb heavily armored SUV across the concrete bottom of a pool is a bad idea! Especially when the pool bottom is a collection of separate concrete panels on top of a marshy subsoil.
