The Supreme Court of the US has already said it is ok for police to lie so states would not be able to enforce such a local law. See Frazier v. Cupp.

The best thing to do is never talk to cops. Always state that you invoke your right to remain silence and you will not answer questions without your lawyer present. Do not just remain silence, that will have you as uncooperative. You have to actually invoke the 5th amendment right to silence for it to benefit you.

@aboveaverageaveragejoe federally that is true. States have the right to and should past more stringent laws prohibiting what SCOTUS may have given the green light to which is well within cities county and state rights.
