I really hate it

On true crime shows where a killer has killed more than once, the cops had every opportunity to have caught and convicted the killer the first time, but didn't. Then, when they actually do their jobs after the second, third, fourth and sometimes more deaths, the cops all talk tough like they had known who it was the whole time.

If the cops had done their job correctly, no one would would have died because they would have responded appropriately to the domestic violence reports and made sure the killer was dealt with when the behaviors started.

Cops suck at their jobs, period.

I'm sure it happens.
But sometimes they don't have enough evidence to arrest them as they have to have probable cause to make a lawful arrest. Plus they can't arrest someone based on what they may or could do.

And many cops/detectives are very good at their jobs.

@Magenta From what I have seen over the years, almost all true crime stories originated from lazy cops.
