The more I watch judge shows the more I realize the law system is screwed up

This case here is about a guy who got pulled over and had a gun in his car but the officers never state why they pulled him over. So he's essentially charged with no crime and the judge didn't realize that. He states that sometimes they don't get the full story as many can't afford or don't have lawyers. I thought thst was kinda messed up. That's pretty wild how that can even happen.
