Our neighbors in New Hampshire

Have eliminated forced inspections for private automobiles backed by state law, if you want to get your car inspected you can if you don’t then the state can’t fine you.
I always thought it was a bit of a scam to force fairly new cars to have inspections every year, it seems more like another revenue stream for the state….

In 'theory' its a valid practice. The cold states use and excessive amt of salt on the roads during winters and poorly made cars simply rot away as a result of them.
