The idea of sending criminals who are repeat offenders to foreign countries is circulating… Now that’s a good idea.

No, it's hostile and cruel. Americans respond to that talk by rallying around the two parties in Washington and telling us anti war, pro socialism people that we're next! No change since fascism took you through your robber baron days and you roared through the twenties in pain, and then depressed everyone to crush socialism. No chance of less brutality.

@Roundandroundwego I feel like this could be a deterrence for generations to come.
@Heavenlywarrior deterrence always means you destroy someone and something.

@Roundandroundwego how else can we incentivize people to stop wanting to do crime? It’s not killing them from off the face of the earth, but sending them to a foreign country to serve time .

And unfortunately it won’t be pretty , they won’t have the amount of meals, and workout equipment daily anymore depending on where they go.

They will learn a valuable lesson in life, and if they survive it.
@Heavenlywarrior crime is less common than ever and reducing inequality will definitely help people be safer.

@Heavenlywarrior They used to hang people but we still had bank robbers, the idea of tough on crime never works but I'm not going to bother to explain it to insane people. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results. Statistics show things like poverty, trauma, PTSD and lack of resources contribute to crime and in countries where rehabilitation (not the corporate kind) has been implemented has seen a 60% reduction in reoffending rates.

Tough on crime doesn't work when you assume there's no environmental factors that contribute to it and instead of doing the extra hard work of taking care of it, you say "ship them to another country, that will teach them." No it won't actually
