And another thing... If you are accused of a crime do not "settle" if you are innocent. Because if you settle

then you will owe money for the settlement and sometimes have a record, and a difficult life. Instead, if you are innocent go to trial and tell the truth. The courts, and lawyers often want a quick settlement but have faith in God and truth and fight for yourself!!! You'll win that trial, even if the lawyers say you probably won't!

But you might want to mute the divine voice in your head and listen to your lawyer when he or she explains stuff like the differences between criminal and civil proceedings, plea deals, restitution, etc.

I'm not saying the Lord isn't speaking to you and maybe she is, but it doesnt hurt to get all the facts before you make a decision.
She has a point. I think anecdotally that way too many folks are talked into plea deals than should be. @MistyCee
@jackjjackson Sure, and I get trusting your gut, but blocking out information and not thinking through the consequences, I don't get.
For sure. It’s a life changing situation and all factors must be carefully considered. Regardless of advice you received would you ever do a please if innocent?

@MistyCee
@jackjjackson I personally don't know what I would do with a "real crime," but I'd want all the information and explanation I could get to make as rational a decision about it before taking a plea.

FWIW, I have accepted a plea to a non-moving violation in exchange for dismissal of a moving violation.
Of course. If I couldn’t weasel out of speeding tickets any other way lol 🤣 @MistyCee
