But you might want to mute the divine voice in your head and listen to your lawyer when he or she explains stuff like the differences between criminal and civil proceedings, plea deals, restitution, etc.
I'm not saying the Lord isn't speaking to you and maybe she is, but it doesnt hurt to get all the facts before you make a decision.

For sure. It’s a life changing situation and all factors must be carefully considered. Regardless of advice you received would you ever do a please if innocent?

@jackjjackson I personally don't know what I would do with a "real crime," but I'd want all the information and explanation I could get to make as rational a decision about it before taking a plea.
FWIW, I have accepted a plea to a non-moving violation in exchange for dismissal of a moving violation.

The other side of that can be hard also. The catholic church offered me money to not testify i refused, went to court the priests got off and i got nothing. No justice,i should have taken the money

And yet Jesus said that if you are wronged do not seek revenge. Turn the other cheek. Go the extra mile, Give your coat and your shirt.

Steelment is not an admission of guilt, it is the means to an end to reduce possiblity of being Found guilty and spending a ton of money on legal fees.

@StygianKohlrabi What happened is that I read a lot and I watch the news. I watched a documentary on people's lives that were ruined by settlements, and most were innocent.
StygianKohlrabi · 46-50, M
@Carazaa either they aren't completely innocent or they were afraid to go through a lawsuit. again I dunno who you are talking about.

Better yet, avoid putting yourself in the position to get arrested in the first place.
