Aiding and abetting

I was on my way back to work once after a wander around town on my lunch break. As I went into the Broadmarsh shopping centre, there was a man running towards the exit. Naturally, I held the door open for him, just before I spotted the security guard chasing him. This dates it because they wouldn't bother chasing anyone now.

I was still playing rugby at the time, so I could have stopped the shoplifter quite easily, or even just shut the door on him. Instead, I unintentionally helped him get away. Good citizen opportunity missed 😬
