The mayor was asked, "Do you support shuttering the Boston Police gang database?"

She answered, "Yes."

DA Rollins enacted the policy memo identifying more than a dozen charges she said should be declined for prosecution. Those crimes included shoplifting, larceny, disorderly conduct, receiving stolen property, driving with a suspended license, breaking and entering with property damage, wanton and malicious destruction of property, threats, minor in possession of alcohol, marijuana possession, possession with intent to distribute, non-marijuana drug possession.

@DogMan That's awful. You should probably not vote for her DogMan, or run for Mayor of Boston youeself.
@DogMan
this IMO is being carried out in this country.
…encourage disorders and foster a lenient attitude toward disorders…

@soar2newhighs You should definitely vote against her in Boston. Or better yet, run for Mayor of Boston yourself.

@soar2newhighs Very sad, that so many people agree with that philosophy.

@Northwest Yes, we need to vote her out. But we also need to get the word out,
so we don't see more progressives running on these policies in other cities.

Yes, we need to vote her out.

Great, so why don't you vote against her, in Boston. You live in Boston, right?

But we also need to get the word out,

Get the word out to whom?

so we don't see more progressives running on these policies in other cities.

Isn't this really up to the people of these cities? Last time I looked, the policiers of the city of Boston didn't effect me one bit, because I live in Seattle.

But I agree, seeing that you live in Boston, that must be weighing on you. 😭

I would be saying the same thing if that happened in ANY U.S. city.

But you're not. You're very specific. Are you protesting abortion restrictions in Texas? How about how Disney Land is managed?

We are all one country.

And the Constitution says that what works for you may not work for me, and that's OK, as long as manage our "own" parts of the country.

Why do kids in the U.S. protest for Hamas?

That should be up to the local authorities to decide how to deal with it, not the people of Bozeman, Montana, for instance. I'm setting aside the fact that you think that this is what kids in the US are generally doing.

@Northwest Seems to me that we all protest what we WANT to protest, right?

Are saying that I should not be able to complain about Boston Politics? Or tell
people what they are doing? Do you want to censor me?

You can complain about Boston politics all you want. I am also free to tell you that Michelle Wu doesn't care what you think, because you don't in Boston, and whats happening in Boston, is not the collapse of the American dream. It simply does not fit your vision of what an American city should be like.

It doesn't mean that Bostonians are snowflakes, it simply means they don't want to live like you want them to.

They've been doing that for 250 years or so.
